Dr. William Schlesinger presents a compelling argument for cohousing in this Earth Wise Radio segment entitled “Living Big by Living Small.” Additionally, Matt O’Malia, GO Logic principle, asserts that cohousing preserves land by creating a dense footprint, as well as reduces construction cost and the creation of roads and impervious surfaces. The cohousing project in Belfast Maine, designed and constructed by GO Logic, is built to the passive house standard, with increased energy efficiency and reduced heating costs. Of the 42 acre land, only 6 are used for the 36-unit development, preserving the rest for recreation and agriculture.
